FAQs about our Safes

Q: What type of batteries does my safe use?
A: The SecureVault XL and other SafeReach models use either 4 AAA or 4 AA alkaline batteries. Always use new, name-brand alkaline batteries for best performance.

Q: How do I know when the batteries are low?
A: If all keypad lights flash blue 10 times with 10 beeps when you try to open, the batteries are critically low and need to be replaced.

Q: Can I still open my safe if the batteries die?
A: Yes. All safes include backup keys. Use the keyhole (covered for security) to manually unlock.

Q: How many fingerprints can I register?
A: Up to 20 fingerprints. Make sure to program more than one finger in case of cuts or dirt.

Q: How do I delete fingerprints?
A: Hold the program button for 5–6 seconds until the keypad flashes twice and beeps twice. All stored fingerprints will be erased.

Q: Can I mount the safe?
A: Yes. Safes include pre-drilled mounting holes and hardware. Always mount to a flat surface, not vertically with the door facing upward.

Q: What if my safe won’t open?
A: First, check the batteries. Second, try your backup key. If issues continue, visit our Troubleshooting Guide or file a Warranty Claim.

Q: What is the warranty?
A: All safes come with a 3-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Cosmetic damage, misuse, or environmental exposure are not covered.
